Watering after seedlings have sprouted?

Now that all seedlings have sprouted, should I water with 5.8ph balanced water until 10-20% runoff? Or do I wait until they grow their first node? Wondering if I should re-adjust my lights to be closer to the plants? Any advice or suggestions would be great, thanks!

soilless, so you provide all nutes at all times that the plant needs. 100% dependent on you. Always fertilize, always 20% runoff... allow wet-dry cycle. You are basically maintaining fertile substrate at all times. Not too much.. Not too little. The 20% runoff ensures pH remains consistnet, concentration/balance of nutes remains safe and fertile, encourages more root growth, and reduces risk of pests. Soilless is much like hydroponics... often categorized toegether. i'd suggest a 6.5pH, but if your brand of nutes says otherwise, do as they say on instructions... if you have a good blend worked out with good outcomes, stick to your 5.8pH. pH will impact what the actualy optimal blend should be... you'd need huge sample sizes of clones to determine which is more optimal... and the differences may be negligible in this context too. So, i won't push you to change what you do now... because the way you've learned to balance your feed is at that pH... it'll be a different balance of concentrations at 6.5.

** a reason to change your pH is if you end up with 1 issue showing and raising/lowering pH might fix that problem without the need for a formula change... pH charts that show uptake ranges for each nutrient is useful for these situations. e.g. lowering pH will slow uptake of N. it can lockout Ca too, if i recall... again, this is reference material that can be deduced from a simple chart. can find them on google images easily enough.
