Thoughts, good idea or bad idea?

I got an idea from when I was pruning pecan trees growing up. If I install small LED lights directly inside each "window" or "pocket" will that improve total light and production, or will I just burn the plants?

It helps for sure. Each piece of surface area of your plant can handle a certain amount of light hitting it per day to maximize growth. Chances are the top of your canopy is there and the lower or outer edges aren't. Adding LEDs or lights to the side can definately help production with the low bud sites or leaves.

Hi there, I would say it depends on how close is your light and intensity of light. As long as your plant doesn’t show any sign of heat stress or light burn ( I don’t think small LEDs can cause burn), you can place them.If you want more production, why don’t you just lower your light alittle bit down and test how the plant feels.Adjust the light distance as necessary. But if you want to do as a decoration, it’s up to you.Happy growing... ✌️

as long as the light provided is greater that what it is blocking sure... and, of course, doesn't burn the plants. possibly better along the outer edges? also the weakest coverage of the lamp above, so minimizing impact on that light more.
