Hello guys, I'm trying for first time a DWC hydro and I have a problem with PH rising fast. I set the PH in 5.5/.8 and after 2/3 hours it is on 7.5. After some tests I saw that the air pump is rising the PH up, and I have no idea how to resolve it. Can you help me?

Your filtered water probably has high amounts of Co2 in it and when your air stone injects oxygen into the water it releases the Co2 in your bucket causing your Ph to rise. Once the Co2 levels level out in a day or so you should see it stabilize.

Hello russrahl, I'm not using tap water. I have a carbon filter and I use the filtered water on my system. I filter water 2/3 days before I use.

If you are using tap water this will happen. As the water is oxygenated from your air stone the chemicals they put in your water will react with the oxygen added to your watermaking your ph temporarily rise. If you were to put a bucket of water out and let it stil for a few days you would see the ph climb slowly then decline slowly. Your air pumps just speed up the process. The more chemicals they put in your water(mainly chlorine) the more your water will flux at first. Just keep knocking it down till it stabilizes in day or 2. Hope this helps. Cheers 💨
