Feminization on vegging plants?

feminization on vegging plants? Has anyone tried colloidal silver to feminze seed using only preflowers on vegging plants? I am looking to try this method (and keep a diary) on Margelo to get small amounts of seed on vegging gals.

@Plantman224 I am unsure if it will work without the flowering process being initiated but by all means give it a try you just never know .

@Ezzjaybruh Space is limited and while this little side project is going I'm going to be continuing the main work and was curious if i could feminze without starting flower.

The process is simple. spray silver on the plant to stop a hormone in it that makes the flowers females to produce male flowers instead. It is in the flowering process and it still flowers but grows males balls vs female calyx. Your need a solution of 30ppm or high and will need to saturate a single branch or entire plant 2 times a day for it to work. Some strong solutions your only need to do this once a day. like 100ppm. Balls will form in the next 2-4 weeks if its done correctly and the plant takes to it. I would aim to do this just as the plants enter flower and out of preflower... so after all the stretching is done. You also need to give them 3 weeks to fully develop the seeds if you plan on harvesting for that. Toss out any soft or white looking ones and only keep the brown mottled looking ones. A lot of people have done this to collect pollen or make seeds with success. in short yes its possible, you need 30ppm or higher. can spray whenever but will only see results when plants go into flower. Wish you all the best and Good Luck!

Colloidal silver is used to make a female plant grow male flowers. Since the pollen from these male flowers is produced by a female plant, the pollen only has female chromosomes. This pollen when used to fertilize pure female flowers will produce "feminised" seeds, since there are no male chromosomes present anywhere through the process. Colloidal silver does not and will not cause female calyxes to become fertilized on its own. You need to grow male flowers on a female plant and use the pollen from those male flowers to fertilize the female flowers to make seeds. Be aware too, it is not recommended to consume any plant treated with colloidal silver or sodium thiosulphate, which is another chemical that is used to initiate male flower formation on pure female plants. Generally when producing male flowers this way, the pollen is used on the next crop of plants, as by the time the females grow the male flowers, they will be too old to fertilize them and still have enough life in them to mature the seeds properly, as seeds take 4-6 weeks to mature. Hope this helps, Organoman.

I also don’t believe it will work until you are in flower.. you can however initiate flower(3weeks or so of 12/12), pollinate, then put back in 18/6 once it’s taken and it will still make seeds. But I’d love to see you try your method out!

Why not just take a little clone and root it then make your seeds?
