Best way to know is to get a loupe to check the trichomes! coloration affects the type of high you want! cloudy trichomes are your main go to and people usually harvest when about 20% of them are amber. Clear trichomes are immature, cloudy trichomes are mature and with high potency and strong high, amber trichomes are degrading trichomes with a more relaxing and sedating high.
