23 hours light per day?

Plumm
Plummstarted grow question 4 years ago
I’m running 4 autos in a 4x4 tent on 20 hours of light per day. I’m thinking about the possibility of changing the light hours to 23 hours a day and 1 dark hour. I’m currently on week 8/9, I’m expecting it to finish roughly 12/14 weeks from birth. Any thoughts on this growers?

On autos the difference between 24/0 and 18/6 is minimum (in yield) and great (in power bill). Just a single hour of dark will do a slight stretch, benefit rooting, and save in power bill, while not decreasing yield but maybe delaying harvest time in one or two days (overall the entire grow season). Keep on the great care! Happy smokes!

I think 23 hours may actually hurt you. They'll have to close down their respiratory and open them back up again. I'm guessing you'll lose productive sunlight time and wont gain any benefit from the dark hours. Stay 20 or go full 24. I prefer 18 personally.
