Ec/ppm run off coco 70/30

5gallon fabric pot, 70/30 coco. 3/4 weeks into veg. Removing run off daily but not checking the ec/ppm. Everything seems fine. Checked run off ppm today, 1230ppm then 900,900. The water/Nute is around 400ppm intake. Any ideas what’s going wrong? Thanks in advance

Looks prefect healthy. If the run off ppm is higher than the input, then you are providing to much nutes for this stage. You would do well to flush her 👍🌱

Tbh mate it’s up to you I’m not an expert this is my second grow and I really can’t say what is making that ec so high out of the bag ?? could just be salt !! Sodium and other bits that are just blocking the way or it could actually be something of use ?? The charge Maby but on the web site it reads finale product ec 0.6 Your plant looks healthy and if growth looks good then Maby it not a bad thing, but my logic was strait up the ec is way to high for my seedling for a start !! If the high ec is just unwanted salts then I want that removed and I replaced with the nute’s that I want in there so I flushed clean and then flush with my nute’s, so your plant looks Heathy and your run off is abit closer to your input now then what mine was so I would just give a good flush feed at your 400 ppm a couple more times and I recon your run off will come true with input hope this helps dude

@constantgrower alright mate, cheers for the reply. Also used the eco thrive 70/30, and unfortunately I didn’t run any water through it! Should I start to flush it?

Hi mate what coco did you use ?? I used eco thrive 70/30 and it was hot out the bag!! Ran plain water through it and run off was 1750 ppm did you check run off of coco before you used it ?? I didn’t for my seedling and had to flush them and the coco Iv just potted up in to down to 50 ppm then flushed with my nutes till run off was the same as input

How many times are you watering a day? High EC in run off could mean that salts are building up in the root zone and you may need to water more frequently with lower volume and same dosage of nutes, but relative to the volume of water you're using. Run off ec should be no more than 300 higher than solution ec. Did the run off sit for a bit before you measured? The run off could have absorbed leftover nutes in your run off tray and that increased ec.
