Any thoughts on how to get FIMing right and how this one turned out?

Any thoughts on how this FIM is turning out? I've been trying to learn how to properly FIM a plant and I've tried a couple of times. Here's my latest attempt but I don't think I'm gonna get the results I I'm looking for. Any thoughts/advice about how to do this better?

Looks more like a top than a FIM. Youll get some of the shoots you wanted it looks like, but you cut it razor close to not happening. If you went up a cm or two youd still get a better FIM. The idea of a top is to get the two beneath the cut to raise up and become two. The idea behind a FIM is you're taking those potential two along with the one and making X. Quick FIM vs Top Google Image search theres good visuals. FIMing is fun if you're running the genetics for the second or third time where you know how the plant reacts to cuts versus the first seed or clone run and everythings new.

I think I messed up here and put pics of two different plants. the one on the left is the result of FIMing my GSC and the pic on the right is actually a FIM attempt that turned out to be a topping on my GG#4
