Ya, I wouldn’t trim anything just yet. Their still pretty small and only have a few leaves, and your plant can use them all at this stage. I usually wait till just a few days before flowering starts and then take off what I want gone(large leafs blocking light, smaller runty branches that won’t reach the top of your canopy, etc.). then after 3 weeks of flowering I do 1 more final defoliation and clean it all up and even it out, removing everything needed same as before. Is it bad to top an autoflower at this stage?I accidentally broke off the top of the plant while attempting to low stress train and now it came like this, kinda like topping.. is it bad to stress the plant this much since it's an auto on week 5? Honestly I think it's a mutant as it has lots of growth but stayed quite small.

Topping Topping Question: When Topping, tutorials state to wait til you have 4-6 nodes. Does this count the cotyledon leaves, or for that matter the first single serrated leaf? Where do you begin counting nodes? Thanks in advance!
