Clones get fresh water only till they show roots, same with seeds germinating. For the first 10days of veg bring it up to 250+/-ppm, for the next 20 days or until you switch the lights over to flower, maintain at 400-500ppm(it may require a complete water change if running stand alone deep water culture). Keep in mind that adding any acid like phosphoric acid as a ph down will also increase ppm.. use sparangly and allow the plants to balance their water according to their needs.. In Flower, begin with 500ppm for two weeks or until flowers begin to develop, then bring ppm up to 900-1000 for two more weeks, once the top colas have crowned, then bring ppm up to 1200-1250.. maintain this level until 3-5 days before harvest, completely change out the water to fresh only,(filtered water at or to 100ppm or less is best)..they will yellow and finish quickly once this is done so be sure of the ambering of he trichromes before completing his step as there is no turning back without negative consequences.. as a little side note, if you leave several small buds on the trunk nearest the base, removing all other branches, then trim the roots back by 2/3, you can put it back under 24hr lifting and most times it'll revert back to veg..slowly but it will offer viable clones after about a month..curious, it resets itself back to single leaflet leaves and begins anew like a freshly germinated seed... Fyi, this fertilizer regime is based on the assumption that you have the plants in veg at a light PAR of 400, and flowers canopy at a light PAR of 800-900..
