When is the best time to top or defoliate when growing in soil? Before watering? After watering? Or does it really matter? Also would timing defoliation with nute feeding either before or after matter?

It doesn't really matter tbh. But I personally water after because less leaves makes it easier to water. good luck eith the rest of your grow

Thank you all. I think I agree with you. I was sort of looking for general opinions and wondering if anyone ever thought about it or heard something. I can't really see it making much difference if they are healthy.

Hi there Personally I defoliate whenever is needed no particular time the plants are pretty strong and deal with it well but obviously dont over do it by taking to much off in one go .. As for topping i think between the 6 - 8th node in veg is about right doesn’t seem to cause any issues, Best of luck 🌱

I think you don’t take no risks to try it before watering . It mostly the same , did not made any difference on mine 🤷‍♂️🏽 I hope I helped !

You want your plant at its healthiest so it can rebound quickly from the stress so if it was happy with whats going on trim her up if she is droopy dry give her a drink let her come around and then trim her. The key is just watching her and when she is feeling good perform the procedure

as long as it isn't wilting, i guess? i wouldn't purposely wait until right before an irrigation. if i am irrigating that day, i'd probably do it after in case the plant is needy or soemthing.. just a guess. in the end you do what your schedule allows and it's small potatoes either way.
