the plant is showing signs of stress with aborting the centre leaf of the 3rd true leaves but on a positive im seeing promising new growth, how long do you think i should give it to get back into shape before throwing in the towel ?

My answer will not help you very much , anyway. It could be stress or a genetic issue ( genetic to me ) and it could stop on the next node but it can also continue like that on a few more nodes before recovering ... or it can be a genetic issue that will shows up at different spots on the plant independently from the way you are growing , feeding , etc

I would just wait for the next node. Sometimes it's just a genitic thing which don't have to be bad.

30 days into flower: Is canopy too thick?I'm 30 days into flower. Bottom 1/3rd of plants were pruned. Is canopy too thick at this point? Should I do a pre harvest defoliation a week before harvest?What are the benefits and consequences of defoliating a week before harvest? Is it good or bad?
