Forget the autos, they need bulk light to perform satisfactorily and do not grow that well outdoors using just sunlight.
Go for some Indica strains with 75+% of Indica genes, they normally flower the earliest and fastest, while still giving excellent yields outdoors and in places with short summers.
Easiest and best to plant seeds directly outdoors, after the last expected frosts in your area. If you start them inside, you will have to match your lighting schedule to match the outdoor sun up to sun down cycle. If you start them indoors using 18 hours of light, then put them outside with only 12 hours between dawn and dusk, you run the risk of causing them to flower straight away.
