Hey all just wanted to ask if the 48h darkperiod make a difference for you or not. I mean I did it to all my lady's till now, but I saw a video on that and it was tested and the weed lost 20-30% of the terpenes for 1% thc +

There's no evidence that it helps one way or the other. It's the same idea as showing the roots with ice water. It's all just theory and any supporting evidence is anecdotal.
I think it's likely that different strains respond differently so sometimes it may help, sometimes it may hurt, and sometimes it may make no difference at all.

The plants don't get darkness when grown outside. From what I've read, a period of dryness can force her to put all energy into the flowers. Can also turn them hermie if done too early. But I don't have much experience in that myself. I've never used darkening as believe its not natural. Like Mrs_larimar said, an urban legend, the same as flushing...

It just the whole videos on YouTube and on the growersites all are swearing on this method, and then u got the other site who sayin its bullshit. I gonna harvest without a darkperiod this time. I mean how can I proof this with 1 plant, you can just send some probes to the lab, but where I live it's not legal 🤣.

Cardboard box drying outdoors?I dont have a place in my house to let them dry, plus I dont have a de/humidifier.
I’d dry them in a sheltered place, in a cardboard box but still outside, averages 60-70% humidity, i would cut holes both sides for ventilation but keep light out and put boveda packs 65% Thoughts?
