Should a plant with very small internodal distance get topped or is LST + scrog probably enough to open her up?

Lst and defoliation or scrog are the Gold standard. Less stress and same results in less time.

When do you start topping? Photoperiods need to LST? Can ya'll just go look at my diary and tell me if my ladies look like they should LOL.When to top or LST? Do these look stunted? I'm super curious about methods for best yield. I'm already worried my girls are leggy (but I've gotten some great advise already to let them rest but also give them bigger pots soon). they stared to flower and bud later then I thought so because I think it was the new light that I got for them wasn't to sure to adjust the dimmer settings too, finely got it dialed in, I think so. other then they stared late they are looking good. I see potential them. ππ5y ago

Did I wait too long to top?I just topped, main-lined, and defoliated. The stem is about the thickness of a pencil, and the nodes are very tightly packed.
The reason I waited so long to top was because I wanted to clone the cuttings and give them to a friend.

This is my first experience growing indoors and also growing autos. Do you guys think the Northern Lights will survive ? It will recover in some way (I don't care about lower shields) ? Or should I just end it and focus on the other two plants ?
