LST or scrog?

As a first time grower, would you recommend traditional LST or a trellis net? I'm growing 3 plants in a 2x4 tent if that helps? Just wondering what the easiest and least prone to me screwing it up. Thanks in advance.

For autos, and being a first grow.. just regular LST in my opinion. Many of which have been outlined already by others. I do not like trellis nets cuz I like to see every bit of the plant and be able to move and inspect. You’re locked in with a scrog. It’s hard enough spotting WPM or pests without one, I can’t imagine with one.

Last and the trellis is pretty close to that same thing. The only real difference is what you're trying to attach too. It pretty hard to screw up the plant with lst. My first grow I wished I let it grow naturally. That way I could have first hand comparison to what the plant wants to do vs what I want it to do. Then I can see each grow if what I'm doing is actually increasing yeild or not.

I would recommend LST first. Scrog is fun but can be a pain. You can't take plants out to look at them in scrog.

They are usually complementary techniques, but if it's your first time I would avoid the SCROG net simply because once it's installed you can't move the plants or take them out of the tent, which makes it a bit more cumbersome to work with the plants in a fixed position. However, it's all about experimenting. Good luck!
