How to vent grow tent?

Venting into large basement area separate from lung room. Averaging 65% RH in tent. How can I vent my grow tent out a century old red brick home's original basement windows discretely? Or, can I vent into an old (capped) chimney without removing the cap? Lung room is 6x10.

Hi mate, if its a proper cap then it should allow air through. Otherwise it will eventually fill the house. Condensation would be another issue as the air will cool by the time it gets up top. Good idea to have a reservoir to catch any water running down inside of flue pipe. If the water is acidic it may attack the flexible flue already in there and cause a riddor reportable event (if in use by any heating appliance) which will mean the hse and any other official they want to find blame as to why a gas flue deteriorated will be paying you a visit. Cooling whilst using humidifier outside a small grow tentI have a small 90x90x60cm grow tent with a VIPARSPECTRA 300W LED. Heat levels are crazy and running a small humidifier with ice blocks inside the tent along side extraction isn’t cutting it. Today we had 36c outside temps and humidity in my tent hit 85%..

Do you think this is a better position for carbon filter so it can have better airflow or is it more important to scrub air from the top and have 2 90 degree bends?
I'll probably try this in my next grow.

Using humidistat to control fan, will this cause problems? So far fan running for 30 secs every two minutes! Plz advise if this is not a good idea??My exhaust fan is to powerful no speed control just two settings. On the lowest setting the fan is still sucking all the humidity that my humidifier creates out of the tent. So I have bought a humidity controller hooked it up with the humidifier and fan.. Humidistat levels vary wildly between Inkbird and ETI humidistats..I have two humidistats, one is an Inkbird 200 for control, the other is ETI 810-195 just for display.. The ETI is showing roughly 9-10% higher humidity levels compared to the Inkbird. Does anyone know which is more accurate? I want it get these humidity levels just right 👌🏼Setup. Ventilation

Can RH be raised to 100% for short periods of time?My extraction is noisy and the humidity is causing a sore throat at night. Can I switch it off and raise my RH to 95% on a regular basis without stressing the plants?
I have an indoor grow 2"x2" that runs full ventilation. RH rises from 70% to 95% after 30 mins of no venting.
