Temperature Probe. Where to place it?

I use a Vivosun exhaust and control hub. It comes with the temperature and humidity probe. I am curious, based on experienced growers here, where do I place this probe? On the floor or do I let it hang mid-way in the the plant itself?

There should be multiple readers at various spots of your grow, the exhaust should be set to come on once RH% hits the threshold you set, the exhaust should be as high in the tent as you can get it, and the probe should stay at the top of the plant canopy, RH rises so by placing it at the highest point of the plant this will ensure Rh below this point is below the set threshold. Temp probe I like to have it sit on the top layer of leaves or close to also, the leaf surface temperature dictates the rate of photosynthesis, have a fresh air intake of colder air set to come in low on the tent.

I have a similar probe, I have mine just above the canopy, I also have 2 other data probes one below the canopy and one above the canopy, its amazing how much difference the readings are from below canopy to above canopy. If you put your into the canopy you will get higher RH values then just above the canopy.

The combination of ambient heat of grow room plus radiation from lights on will dictate the leaf surface temp, don't just measure ambient in a growing room, the top of canopy needs to be measured also to see how much heat is added from light source, combined lst shouyld try not exceeed 84 lights on.

Ultimately, to have an understanding of what the plant is getting as far as atmospheric readings, I’d go right in the middle of the canopy if possible
