Hi. I'm growing in Coco/Perlite. Could you tell me if the color of the leaves are telling me that I need to up the EC on the fertigation? GrowWeedEasy.com says that light green means hunger. Is that right? Thanks. (1st fert: 400ec/6.2ph, 2nd fert: 440ec/6.3ph. 2xDaily.)

Hi mate, ahhh that's probably going to be high the 😂.. as for spring waters they can have a pretty high EC as well. If you can I'd recommend getting RO, distilled or de-ionized water it will give you a lot more control and peace of mind when it comes to what your plant is getting. They are all 0ppm/EC. Make sure to get a little cal mag though. Supermarkets sell de-ionized water in the car section. I used that before I got my zero water filter (also 0ppm/EC) I highly recommend both 🙂... sorry I've gone on a rant about water 😂 Your in coco (I didnt notice at first!) so you should see results within days. Also as the other growers mentioned I'd lower your ph a little 5.8-5.9 would be optimal. She will take 600 ec easily. You can go up to 800 but personally I'd stick to 600 to be on the safe side. Gradually increasing with each feed. When you see a burn go a tad lower. Shes looking great bro, wouldn't even know it's a first grow 💪

In my humble opinion: the seedling contains all its food in itself for first week at least. It still has to devellop roots. The yellow leaves indicate overwatering. Which makes it hard for the roots to devellop. Let the soil completely dry out (1st inch of soil should be dry) Just a cup of PH 6 water every three days for after that one and a half cup. It seems like you are already watering the whole pot, this can give all sorts of problems since its roots will be nowhere near the edges of the pot. If you wet the soil when planting this should be moist enough for the entire seedling stage. Just a cup around the seedling every three days, gradually going more as they grow and expanding the area which you wet.

@inspire me. Poland Spring is my water for now. There are sediment issues with my building's tap water. 100 year old building.

@inspireme Ya know.... this is Green Crack Auto by FastBuds. The company site and many blogs have described this strain as a hungry one, particularly during flower (very exciting). This is why I asked the question. If I was to bump up the ec to 600 over the next 24 hours, as you suggest, how long does it take to see the results, a couple days? (This is my first grow if you don't count the failed launches. lol) Thanks.

I think you right on your ec 0.35 to 0.55. Try lowering you ph to 6.0 more nutrients may become available. Think sweet spot for coco is 5.8 to 6.0 in my experience.

Yeah seedling looks good.no signs of hunger yet. Wathc for cotyledons, theyll be pale in case of hunger.yours look solid green, healthy.still you can increase your feediing to 1-1.2 ec,wont hurt.in case of burn, just back off with nutes a lil bit and it'll be good.no problem so far.and good choice on starting the seed in final pot

Hi mate recommend EC is up to 600. I think she looks like she could use a little more. You may have a hungry girl! Also what sort of water are you using? If you are using tap measure the EC first to check you are giving enough nutrients. As some hard eaters can have a very high EC.

@weedismylifestyle OK.. So I checked and those were the intended figures. Why do you think it's wrong? I wanted an EC of 350-550 for the first week as advised by CocoforCannabis.com.

@weedismylifestyle thanks for the quick response. It's totally possible I did that. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm gonna go check my numbers. If I'm getting things wrong I should fix it while it's early in the grow.
