Generally a plant can double to triple in height during the stretch. Training it while it's stretching helps to stop it growing into the light. There are various methods for training.

Plant stakes for heavy branches???Do you add structural support to branches before they form buds? People have warned me to add structure to my plant ASAP. I don't see a lot of photos of plants with stakes. My plant is really tall & I didn't train it because I was scared to break it & horizontal space limited.5y ago

Let soil dry out too much or is it because they are stretching too much due to temp differences between nightWe noticed the leaves a very light green colour and some were drooping slightly. We suspected overwatering so let them dry out for a night which seems to have corrected the colour however worried that we let them dry out too much? One plant was totally blew over by the fan. Too Tall Too Quickly - How to slow this down?Following grower's advice, I chose not to top my autos.
When buying the seeds initially, I tried to buy only strains that were said to grow up to medium height.
Towards the end of week 5 and my Blackberry Gum is 90cm high.
How can I slow this down without affecting yield?
