We have issues with pests but i'm not sure what they are. They are like little black flies. With very small round bodies, and their wings are transparent and a bit bigger than their bodies. They are leaving their little white eggs or larvae under the leaves. Any suggestions???

If the plant is small you can wipe the eggs and insects off the bottom of the leaves with a damp rag. You can also use a the spray from a garden hose to knock them off. Then you can use an insecticidal soap like neem oil making sure to coat the bottom side of the leaves. As the plant gets older I would be more and more hesitant to what you apply since it may remain on the flower.

Sounds like fungus gnats but they lay their eggs on top of moist soil and it's their larvae that do the damage feeding on the fine feeder roots underground. If that sounds like yours get some Gnatrol or mosquito dumps to water the plants with. They're bacterial and will kill off the larvae without doing anything to your plants or you.

Have a look on the net for gnats or fungus gnats and see if that's looking like your pests.
