Is it normal for the pistols to be so brown at this stage? Should the buds be fatter? Is it because of high temperature?
Solved
Week 7
Buds. Not fattening

hey fruitgrower, good question, every genetic ages in different ways according to the different environment it's in. I'm guessing you're also worried because it seems early on. As you know the gens you're growing are large yielders, so they're gonna need more time whatever happens. What I say to myself is that pistills will all turn brown during the drying and curing anyway so it's not really a good indicator of when the plant's ready. Right now you've just finished the stretch for the plant which is a stage where there's a lot of action going on, now the plant is going to get buffer, and you've got a fair few weeks ahead of you yet. Sit back and mind the plants, but this stage is going to be pretty much on cruise control, so sit back and relax. hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi mate you should attempt to lower those temps as they will affect your final yield. Sometimes early browning off of the pistils can be a sign of pollination Might pay to check for male bananas (hermies) if not then it could be related to the higher than ideal temps Best of luck Mate 👊

Do not worry about the pistils, they are a poor indicator of plant maturity.

Yeah it could be mate. I wouldn’t worry too much. But I’d be doing everything in my power to lower those temps. Can u put an extra fan in there or add another exhaust maybe. Buds will still fatten up with time.
