Small dehumidifier in a small tent will it work?

I need the humidity to be low in a small growroom I have extraction keeping it at 70%. I use a midsize dehumidifier that will bring it down to minus 50% and below but it heats the air to 28c+ so run this intermittently. Would a small 20watt dehumidifier work better on fulltime?

GrowCN, Heres my problem, lung room averages 65% and cant control this room much at all. I have a vent but its variable it works well on low controls the smell and will keep the tent at about 70% or under, the 165watt meaco reduces humidity very well down to 50% and rapidly if I like, but heats tent to 28c and I dont want airy buds. Without the dehumidifier on I am at about 24c ideal. Might try 20w pelt type or two on full time and see what numbers I hit hopefully dry and cool that way, as the large unit is like a heater. Thanks for your help. I am looking good on this grow so far with some nice stacking starting, will try my best to dial in for the last 4 weeks of flowering.

If the small dehumidifier is a Peltier type I would not do it. I tried a large Peltier dehumidifier and it worked OK at high humidity levels but became less effective as the humidity dropped. About all it could do, running continuously, was to get down to about 60%. I now use a small compressor type dehumidifier and it can easily hold the room at 50% and can take it lower if I want. I also found it useless to run a dehumidifier inside a tent that has a vent fan. The fan can extract the air faster than the dehumidifier can take out the moisture. Now I have a "lung room" where I control the temperature & humidity. This way when the tent's fan runs it is drawing in air that has already been dehumidified.

Decreasing humidity automatically increases temperature, so it probably wont make much difference changing the dehumidifier.

I'f you already have one that keeps rh at 50% ide leave it. Not ideal for veg but certainly for flower. Don't exceed 60 rh for flower or you risk bud rott and lots of other diseases. Hope this helps growmie
