GrowCNanswered grow question 3 years ago I want airflow in my drying tent to prevent mold but I don't want to dry the plants too quickly. I try to hold the humidity around 55% and run the vent fan on low to take 10-14 days for the stems to have a good snap. Then, for small crops I'll put the flower into Mason jars but mostly I like rectangular, stainless steel Korean bento boxes. I put a electronic hygrometer (humidity gauge) into each container for 8 hours. Then when I check I want the humidity to be between 58-62%. If the humidity is I'll take a small square of paper towel and wet it and stick to the inside of the container. This is to get the flower up to the proper humidity range for curing. If the humidity is high I leave the container open longer.
I check the curing containers 4-5 times a day. If they are dry I re-wet the paper towel. Eventually you can get the humidity where you want and once at the right humidity it doesn't change quickly. After the curing process, then I will put Boveda humidity packs into the containers for longer term storage.
