I use a A magnifying glass x40 made for jewellery that i put front of my smart phone lens where I zoom 10x.

I think the magnification needed to photograph trichomes is more than most macro lenses can do. I would go for a digital microscope. About 60x is a good balance between magnification and trying to hold it still.
