@jovialmusic once they are past the seedling stage you can have them fairly close say 10 inches

Depending on manufacturer etc. and are you vegging or flowering. But I'd say you good now. If she looks good and bushy. Not get lanky and tall. But also won't stop growing up then it's too close. Happy growing!

Look at the manufacturers recommendation. For 150 watt LED I recommend 30" for the first week -10 days, then down to 24" and let her grow towards the light. Watch how your plant responds. If she is stretching and getting leggy, lower the light. If you see bleaching of leaves and other heat stress signs, raise your light. Happy growing!! 🍀🍀

Hi @jovialmusic! Each lamp has a different impact on the plants depending on the wattage, the type of LED used in the lamp, and environmental factors: tent size, airflow, temperatures and relative humidity... No one could tell the perfect lamp-to-plant distance but you, try the universal hand test: put your hand at your plant's summits and see how it feels after a minute or two. If your hand gets too hot, your plants will suffer, you better increase the distance. If your hand feels cold / temperated, you're good to go, just pay attention to your plant's stretch in order to refine that distance later. You want the canopy temperated but the maximum light efficiency. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

All led lights vary depending on the manufacturer. If it is a 150 watt equivalent you are probably best to start around 3 feet with a seedling that size then watch it closely for too much stretching and move it a little closer every couple days. I start my seedlings on a 23 watt 6500k cfl. They don't need much light at that age. Good luck on your grow
