Tent tempature

I had a really hot summer in Northern California, and my grow is a 5x9 tent in my garage which heats up really bad. First time growing indoors and my buds came out airy or fluffy, I'm guessing it's heat stress. Should I throw an A/C in and take plant space away?

Mine did the same thing, 85-90 degrees in the tent for the last 4-5 weeks of flower, fluffed right up. Still smokes over, but the buds were super loose. Definitely the heat.

Dude I'm battling same thing here in Texas.. 100°F + and 80%+ humidity indoors temp should be beteween 74%-80%F. The humidity is what you want to watch out for ..make sure in flowering your got it at 50% or less..aim for 40% If heat is above 80% then yes put in an AC

Air conditioning your tent is certainly an option. I doesn't work so well if your running a vent fan though as it is very easy for the vent fan to exhaust more than an AC can cool. If considering a portable air conditioner you really MUST get a two hose model. They are less common and more expensive but MUCH more efficient. I went MacGyver on a inexpensive window AC. I blocked off where the cold air would exit and drilled a big hole in the top to attach a piece of flex duct for the cold air cold air blowing out. Then for the return I glued a plastic storage container over the face of the AC where it sucks in air from the room, cut a hole and attached another piece of flex duct for the return air. Then I ran the two lines to my tent (lung room actually). Then I built a wooden stand to hold the AC off the ground so I could slip a bucket underneath to catch the condensate. Air conditioning cheap and without loosing any space in your tent.

Airy can be environment and or genetics! But the heat has been horrible this year— go with the the ac if you can! Need those temps at 81 with LED and 78 with hps
