once you breed something, you can name it anything you want... thank "meiosis" for that (during anaphase? genetic recombination? can google that stuff). It may be related to the parents, but it is a different plant than what you had, empirically. "This" could be a strain... it's not part of real scientific taxonomy. strain had a definition before this, sort of.
