Determining start of veg date from seed

G'day, I consider veg as starting on the day the cotyledons open to expose the first set of true leaves, as this is when the plant starts to be a living, functional being. Nice choice of strain, I am sure you will be pleasantly satisfied! Cheers, Organoman.

I dunno people seem to be going from germination straight to vegetation stage and foregoing the seedling stage. I’m of the opinion the germination/seedling stage is 3 weeks total. You need a few sets of leaves to be considered in vegetation.

Once the seed pops out of the soil, I consider that day one. After 21 days I consider myself to be week One of veg on day 22. That’s me and how I do things. I’m sure others have their ways. Though a side note if it’s an auto flower I wouldn’t really keep track too much because it’s on genealogical clock and doesn’t care about my schedule. Hope that helps grow fam 🤙

I would say week one starts as soon as it shows the first two little leafs

I would consider the end of germination when you see the first "True" leaves. Since grow diaries goes weekly. I do germination the first 7 days from when I put the seed in a paper towel then the first week of veg is after that 7 days.
