You will not need a microscope to determine plant gender, as once flower parts start appearing it is quite simple to identify males from females. I have posted pictures of both male and female primordia (pre-flowers) in week 7 in my diary "cannabis conundrums" if you are keen for an insight of what to look for. There are also pictures of hermaphrodite flowers and other strange cannabis growths too. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Yeah Tubington is on point. Shouldn’t need a microscope to check for a female. If you have a little ball at the base of the calyx it’s more than likely a male. If you find a white pistil behind the calyx then you have yourself a female. Should just be visible to the naked eye. The only real way to get the sex identified early is by having a leaf sample tested in a lab. Google has really great pictures that show side by side comparisons of male and female. Anyway good luck with your grow. 🤙

You still going to need to wait until 4-6 weeks before your plant will start to show identifiable characteristics. Personally my last grow i was able to identify 2 males at 4.5-5 weeks
