Foxtailing?

These girls started with new growth on the tops of the buds.. I had way to much light so I reduced that significantly, so is this what fox tailing is and should I be alarmed?

Yes this is the start of Fox tailing, the buds along the cola will try to space them selves out to cool off and improve airflow. Moving the light away is a good start. If you do not have any fans in your tent, I would suggesting investing in one or a few(Cheap USB fans work). My last grow reached too close to the lights and foxtailed. I did not have any fans and temps in my tent hit +28°C regularly during flower. This is well above the recommend temp. Now I have a fan over my light venting the hot air out and a fan over my plants venting cool outer air in and over them. You can definitely harvest these like regular, your nuggs will just be a bit airy. Worst case they can be made into extracts. To prevent further foxtailing Improve airflow in your tent and bring your temperatures down. If your climate is not to cold yet, perhaps consider leaving them outside at night or by an open window. Cannabis plants enjoy colder temps at night than day during flowering. Temps that are too hot will also burn off Trichomes forming.

Yes I had this and its due heat stress completely messed up the whole grow I'd take them down asap and start again once they start foxtailing they just get worse each day sorry for the bad news It's that bad they become un smoke able im not very experienced so maybe get more advice from someone else before coping but good.luck
