Fertilization question - How long do you wait before you start fertilizing your cannabis plant? After the initial 2-3 week seedling phase or during?

Yo empiezo con enraízante a los 4 días de que asomen las primeras hojitas de sierra , una semanita y con el abono de crecimiento ....intentando siempre controlar el pH en la fase inicial del cultivo

It depends on a lot of factors - the soil you use is the main one. If you used nutrient rich compost from a regular gardening store, your plant may not need nutrients until late flowering! The way I do it is leave the plant be for the first week - the energy in seeds will suffice for about a week of development, even if not much nutrients are available. After that, I feed at 50% strength until I notice underfeeding signs (whole leaves getting pale and yellow). Then I switch to full nutrient dose. This way you can be sure your plant gets exactly what it needs while still getting the good stuff from soil and promoting root development to get those missing nutrients. You can also not feed it at all until you notice hunger signs, it is up to you. Whichever way you go, make sure your water is always within the right pH range. Good luck!

I let the plant tell me when it needs nutrients. Simply adding nutes at week 2 is an easy way to go too far and burn the plant. Usually I start adding low dose nutrients when a plant has five or more nodes which is usually around 3 weeks above ground. At that point the plant is safely out of the tender sprout stage and it's growth rate is picking up and needing more food.

I grow in water( DWC ) and start to add nutrients when she gets to her second to third node. From what I have read on your manufactures web page is your blend is the "Stonington Blend" which has everything needed from seed to harvest and you don't need to add any nutrients. So if you do add nutrients be cautious on how much you add because to much will cause issues.I would get a bloom booster and do light feedings with that but that's all. Happy Growing

Hi there, as your growing in soil that will have enough nutrition for the 3-4 weeks. So long as you use ph'd water for that time your plant will have access to everything in the soil. Going into the 4th week I would keep my eye on it as you may need to start adding nutes around then.
