strain is normally referred to the plants name or parents names together like plantXplant but also that can get its own name like "Glookies" [Gorilla glue x girl scout cookies] then you can say this is a clone of plantXplant. seeds are not clones and will be their own thing unless genetics have been locked in by good breeding practices.
