m0useanswered grow question 3 years ago If you want to prepare tinctures and ointments I'd suggest an photoperiod as you can clone them and the results are the same from plant to plant in terms of cannabinoids and terps on harvest. With auto's they will not be the same from plant to plant, its less stable and may not provide the same effects every harvest because of phenotypes between seeds.
Plus a lot of the best anti inflammatory comes from cbd and cbg, thc a bit as well but more so the first two. Plus there are better options for cbd/cbg in photoperiods. If your really stuck on a auto though there are versions out there. even ones that offer 4:1 cbd to thc ratios for pain and inflammation management. as for a specific strain look for something that's got a high cbd ratio and moderate thc ratio with some cbg. or grow multiple plants high in cbd and cbg and create a mutiplant extract in lipids or alcohol.
Out side of cannabis you should look into other natural supplements for pain and joints. NEM is just one product. just and FYI In Canada the natural health sector is heavily regulated and companies cant get away with BS marketing and lies. It's a different story across the border sadly.
most major breeders have a CBD sections for growing out. Check out some reputable ones and see what they have to offer. If they post lab results that's a good sign they are taking that market seriously.
Best of luck in your search and Happy Growing!
