Deeper the roots taller the plant?

Will the size of the pot ultimately reflect the size of the plant ? I’ve always used 5 gallon pots and get about the same size of plant . I’m tempted to get a bigger pot to test the waters . I’m trying to have a better understanding if u look at plants outside grown vs inside .

Almost always the bigger the root mass the bigger the plant, hands down. Very little can set this logic off. If you use a bigger pot like 10-20gal you will notice the plants will get bigger if you let them. They will also eat more and need more watering when they get bigger. Plan ahead and happy growing! Best of Luck

@Gorrila_Smoke11 the answer is Yes and No Yes if the genetics allow for larger growth then a bigger pot will encourage the plant to grow bigger but if its say an auto then large pots are not really needed and are generally just wasting space and nutrients etc.

I use 10 gallons or even 50 liters pots, small plant is more of an unpleasant surprise now for me ... Just pots don't need to be very deep, more wide.. But big plants brings big problems, height, light power, humidity control, all could need investment... All the Best !

It’s party veg time.. if you’re running autos or photos is a huge factor.. Looks like you run photos.. if you’re vegging more than 5-6 weeks your pot size will hugely effect the size of the plant. Give 10 gallon a whirl.
