It's a different time for everyone.

Hello. It was in the fall of 1976. It was in Oct. and it was the first high school dance of the year, Grade 10. I started smoking in grade 9 and the summer just past we put some seeds in the ground and they grew. So we drove out to the boonies and planted them and went back before school started to get the plants. At that time we didn't have a clue what was expected from the grow. So we went and got the plants and smoked all the leaf (leaf got us stoned when we were young) So I was looking in the stash the night of the dance to see what I had left. Nothing but stock and some crumbles. But on the stock was a bunch of little white bits that I hadn't seen before. So I went and got the tweezers and picked a bowl full. I was on my way to the dance and I smoked by myself and then met my friends and we all went in. Man, I had to sit in the corner because I was as blasted as I had ever been. I couldn't talk. I was just staring into space. The teachers were looking at me funny. It was about then that I realized that I could grow something that would get me just blasted. After school was finished we did some outdoor grows, but with the powder mildew we wouldn't let the plant get to full maturation before we cut them down. These grows weren't to make money it was to have some decent smoke when there was none, because sometimes we would go for a while before the next shipment was smuggled in. Land race stuff like Mexican and Columbian Gold, Thai sticks and Afghani hash. It wasn't until 1995 that I started to grow indoors with some strong pot, that I really got a good sense of accomplishment. To hear my friends talk about the taste of my smoke and how much they got blasted from it made me feel really good. I still have people come around to me because mine taste better than the dispensary. Now there's a sense of accomplishment. Chuck.
