Wicked_Stix-nothing wrong with a 3 month veg- IF you got the room for the final product. How many single plants have you vegged for 4 weeks that will fill a 5x5 tent?? lols. My 3 month veg ZkittleZ would easily fill a 5x5. Like I said, how long you veg is always going to be how much room do you have for the final product?? If you had unlimited room you could run a 65-100 ltr pot and veg under 18/6 lights for 3 months and yield more than 2 pounds dry bud per plant. Very few of us have unlimited room indoors so the question we are all assuming is for indoors...So how long you veg depends on 1. How big you want the final plant to be. And 2. How many plants do you want in your space? (so how big your space is again is the question) Then you can work out pot size and then work out how long veg needs to be. so do u want 4 larger plants? or 8 smaller ones? Or 1-2 big ones? Keep in mind seeds cost money so more smaller plants does cost more money over time unless u use clones. I hope the info posted helps.

growing in SOG, i usually give 2 to 4 weeks of veg depending strains and switch to flowering when they are 20 to 25 cm tall so they reach 60 cm to 1m20 in the end.

Until they are big enough to fill your grow area with buds is how I try to do it. I shoot for a 4 week veg but I'm in hydro so I get pretty fast growth. You definitely dont want to spend 3 months vegging plants when you could go seed to harvest in 3 months though. If they are taking that long then something needs to change in your grow method.

Depends on lots of things. How much room do you have? How big is the final pot going to be? Even what type of media makes a diff, plants that get 6 weeks in veg in soil will be smaller than plants that did 6 weeks in hydro. Generally speaking the longer the better as more veg time = bigger plant = more buds. From seed, 6 weeks is about the least you want to do. A good sized fully rooted clone can go 4 weeks in veg as a minimum for a good harvest per plant. Outdoors I do 3 months in veg directly into the ground. If you top alot then U may want to veg a bit longer also VS LST as each time you cut off a new shoot, the plant slows growth for a day or two. So 3 toppings would mean id prob run an extra 5-7 days veg to make up for it indoors.

So subjective. No point in flipping in less than 4 weeks. Expect double in size after flip to account for how much space you have for the plant. 6-8 weeks is a nice sweet spot IMO. Again so many variables here that it’s hard to fill in the blanks with no diary or further info..
