If your plant is growing fine right now, I would not worry about trying to change the pH, especially if it is a large amount, you are most likely to upset the plant by trying to do anything drastic, as adjusting the pH in soil can be a long process that is best done slowly. With soil, a pH value of anywhere between 6.2 and 7.2 is perfectly fine in my experience. It is really only in hydroponics that pH is extremely critical, as many of the fertilizers used are designed to only be available to the plant in a narrow pH range. In nature, cannabis has survived for Millenia in a wide variety of growing conditions and it does not need everything to be exactly perfect to perform properly. Soil cultivation is far more forgiving than any other growing method. There will be no difference in productivity or potency when growing in soil that that any home cultivator will be able to detect as long as the pH is somewhere between 6.2 and 7.2. Nutrient "lock out", in the truest sense, where it will actually affect the plant noticeably, does not occur unless the soil pH is below 5.5 or over 7.5, two very unlikely situations for any thoughtful and careful home cultivator. Hope this helps, Organoman.
