Hello friends Have you ever had plants that were too tall? I can't hang my 450w LED any higher. Should I leave it like this or tie it down? The plant doesn't seem stressed but is very stiff for tying down. 1.70m tall, week 6.5
Solved

You can take a few leaves off. This will reduce the plant's surface area a bit, but it has only a minor effect. Maybe remove 10% of the leaves and then tie them down a bit. If you have space on the sides, you can place the pot right at the edge of the tent and tie the tops to the opposite side; that should give you maximum vertical space. Good luck, it looks great!

I had the same problem with my Tangerine Dream... ended up doing two things - first was LSTing any part of it I could in any WAY I could... bought some LST clips that I was able to use on the most pliable of stems - sometimes that meant using them between buds at the very top... I took some netting and cut it into strips which I then used to pull some of the stiffer stems as far as I could (which wasn't very far but even a little helped)... since I use fabric pots, I was able to pin these strips to the pot... Then I took the hanger off my light and literally rested it between two of the metal spanners on top of the tent tying the spanners together so they wouldn't be accidentally knocked apart causing the light to fall! My next step was going to be unzipping the top of the tent and hanging the light from a beam on the ceiling but I never had to go that far since mine, like yours, didn't seem to mind being as close to the light as they were. I DID find that those stems I was able to LST out of the way continued their upward growth, the light was able to penetrate down and the lower buds really responded nicely... Good luck! Do what you can but if you can't do anything and your plant doesn't seem too terribly stressed, don't YOU stress about it!

Could you try just tie it down to angle it in any way? Wouldn’t have to be a big bend or anything just putting the stalk at a diagonal angle. Also could try putting your light into a corner and having the light on an angle pointing onto the plant - and then just twist your pot around 1/4 everyday. Anything would help at this point, looks very close to the light.

The way the leaves look like a taco tells me they are stressed from light. Yes I've dealt with plants outgrowing my tent. I tied them down best I could. You can see the struggles in my OG Kush diary.
