m0useanswered grow question 3 years ago No your good. The small ammounts of copper "talking really small like micro micro" that will make it into the soil with be oxidized and not in a form the plant can update.
The wire is also coated and will prevent a lot of this from happening.
If the plastic is decaying or deteriorating then yes its bad for the plants roots. but that does not seem to be the case.
Normally plastic coating on wires will get tacky then brittle and chip off. The plastic of garden grow containers just fades and gets brittle and breaks apart easily.
