It will take a life time for that to break down... Copper is actually a trace ELEMENT that cannabis needs and use but in TRACE amounts... By having in the soil the microscopic amounts that comes off is actually beneficial... Macronutrients ( most important ) NPK....nitrogen phoprous potassium plus others that come from nature like oxygen carbon monoxide hydrogen ... Micronutrients.. Calcium magnesium sulfer/iron...trace elements. . theres over 50.. Copper manganese Epson salt zinc silica i can't remember all tge rest.. Suhh wow sorry about this long speech. .lolol

No your good. The small ammounts of copper "talking really small like micro micro" that will make it into the soil with be oxidized and not in a form the plant can update. The wire is also coated and will prevent a lot of this from happening. If the plastic is decaying or deteriorating then yes its bad for the plants roots. but that does not seem to be the case. Normally plastic coating on wires will get tacky then brittle and chip off. The plastic of garden grow containers just fades and gets brittle and breaks apart easily. Good Luck!

No. Copper is used in plants and the trace amounts left if any will not affect plant. Plastic should be safe as well.
