I have had a plant go herm on me. This was due to stressing out the plant with too much LST.

It can be almost anything that causes stress. So, keep your plant happy and healthy. Keep in mind that every living organism's primary goal is to survive long enough to reproduce. If anything that threatens the plant like drought, over watering, temperature extremes, unusual light pattern, damage (over pruning) can make the plant think it's life is in danger. This causes it to go into reproduce at all costs mode. If conditions are that bad then maybe there isn't another plant around to pollinate so it goes hermaphrodite so it does not risk not being pollinated by another plant.

Hey, any kind of stress can trigger plant goes hermafrodit ,too cold or too hot ,too much low stress or high stress training ,for me it was caused by too much defoliation in flower and I get few seeds ,and indeeed if you have any male around the pollen will do it’s thing, just try to avoid any kind of stress to your plant 👍🏼.

In my experience, when the plant feels that the flowering conditions are too difficult, hermaphroditism is a natural way for it to shorten this cycle, causing the fertilization of female flowers with pollen from some male flowers. It can be due to a harvest that is too late, watering issues (lack or excess), excess fertilizers or PK, watering with water that is too cold; all of this creates stress on the plant and can cause hermaphroditism. So that's why it's important to have controlled growing conditions. Cheers.
