After curing I get the humidity to about 62%. Then I freeze for long term storage. If you freeze it becomes very brittle so you have to handle it very carefully. Let it warm to room temperature before handling it much to avoid breakage (freezing is a good way to make kief). In my experience it is a thing. I tend to store my shit in Mason jars in a cabinet away from the light. If I'm going to be opening and closing the jar a lot (after it is fully cured and sitting at 66-68%rh) I will grab a humidity pack and toss it in so it doesn't drop too low. Don't need to control the humidity outside the jar, just inside, and it stays pretty constant if you aren't fucking with it all the time. I have my jars from last harvest, been sitting at 67% rh for a couple months now since cure finished no humidity packs or anything required. I just don't open them all the time, only jar I open and close all the time is the 1 or 2 I'm smoking on.
