I don't usually start LST on my autos until at least week 3, sometimes week 4... at that time, I can determine HOW I want to do the LST and how much is going to be needed/wanted. On the other end of the timeline, if necessary, I will LST until about 2-3 weeks before harvest... it doesn't stress the plants (it's literally LOW STRESS training and does NOT affect the energy level at all)! It looks like you've got a week or two before thinking about that. Just want to address the issue of lighting that Organoman raised. There are 2 issues on which he and I have always disagreed - light schedule and defoliation. Autoflowers don't require a rest period in their day or in their entire life cycle. Period. I started out growing my autos under 24/7 lights because that was the only way I could keep the temps up in my tent - and my ladies loved it. Now that temperatures are getting warmer here, I thought I could lay off and run them 18/6 (saving a modicum on my electric bill) but they truly didn't seem to appreciate it at all. Every time the lights came back on, every single plant was wilting down and looked as if they were crying/dying. They're pre-programmed to do their thing and it just seemed to me that turning the lights off interrupted their schedule... so the lights went back on 24/7 and they are happy, HAPPY campers. I won't get into our argument about defoliation as that has nothing to do with your current status! Good luck with your grow... the plants look happy and healthy and you'll know when it's time to do some LST... just listen to your plants!

I usually wait until there are 4-6 nodes, otherwise I believe training too early takes too much energy away from growth while the plant is still trying to establish itself. I also can not condone growing at 24/0, cannabis NEEDS sleep to function properly and to finish its photosynthesis cycle. Without sleep, cannabis can not have a correctly functioning metabolism and a plant with an incorrectly functioning metabolism will never grow to the best of its ability/potential. 24/0 could only be recommended by people who don't understand photosynthesis or don't understand how plants function, or maybe both principles. The myth that it is ok to grow cannabis at 24/0 needs to be removed from the internet and removed forever too! 18/6 is optimum, cannabis can only grow so much during any one 24 hour period and this growth tops out at around the 18 hour mark, meaning running your lights any longer than 18 hours is basically a waste of electricity. You will not lose anything by going to 18/6, you will actually gain much due to the plant having a correctly functioning metabolism and is growing with a correct circadian rhythm of activity/rest/activity/rest. Nothing on planet Earth can exist for days/weeks/months without sleep and then be expected to be healthy! Hope this helps, Organoman.
