Ruderalis % to class as auto / no seasonal cycle for flowering

I was wondering... This White Widow auto is bred from Critical x Ruderalis to have Critical Auto ~ 35-50% Ruderalis. Crit. Auto is bred again to WW S1 Auto (~20-25% Ruderalis). If bred again, you think enough Ruderalis (~10%) for it to still be classed as automatic? Thanks! :D

It's not about the percentage in the genetics. There are also pure Ruderalis plants that need to be activated photoperiodically. When you want to breed Automatics, you have to select for these traits in your crosses. So, determine which offspring bloom independently of the light cycle and stabilize that trait. There are stable Automatics that contain less than 2% Ruderalis genetics... Good luck!

Yes, even 1.5% Ruderalis is enough.

If you want to get into genetics and clone plants, even if you want to clone to produce an autoflower, you need to start with a photoperiod and cross it with a Ruderalis... it's simply impossible to clone an autoflower! Grow out what you have and enjoy that journey... For the next grow, choose a photoperiod and clone away, cross away (with a Ruderalis)... who knows, you might come up with a monster that everyone in the world will want! But not now. Love your enthusiasm and daring!
