Continuous grow season all year

Any advice on doing a perpetual grow? I have 5 new auto strains that will all get 18 hours from start to finish. Could I start 2 seeds every 2 weeks so I always have a harvest every 2 weeks? I have 30 total auto seeds and my tent can hold 8 full grown at a time.

Hey mate! What is the size of your tent and your containers? How many plants do you think you can fit in? In the end that are the questions you have to get an answer for to make your math. But yeah, popping two seeds every two weeks seems reasonable, allthough i would personally prefer 4 seeds every 4 weeks but that is your decision, you can popp a seed every week if you feel so.. Good luck 🍀 with your grow ✌️

I have Garden of Green Gorilla Glue #4 auto, LSD auto, Quarter Pounder auto, AK-59 auto, and Red Super Skunk. I have 6 of each and would like to do 2 to 4 plants at a time. Would it be better to start 4 once a month instead? That should make up for the height situation because at flower my light should be 12" and the seedlings would be 24" away...I've never used a dome. I would have to think of a setup with my mini humidifier on the one end set on a timer or something so it doesn't run long and set it at the lower end of the recommended RH for vegging. Thoughts?

I don't like domes as they keep to much humidly in. also the light height would be bonkers unless you used spacers. TBH though, just do multiple full runs inthe year. You will never have any time off outside your tent with this proposed setup your thinking of doing.

My tent is 36x20x53. I didn't think of humidity. Would it work with domes on the babies.

It's possible yet hard work I used to do this and I struggled with the different foods and at times messed-up and gave them the wrong food what I try to do is I have veg area and then flowering tent and I turn 3 plants every 5/6 weeks then 2 different sizes so need to get shelves to make the lights distance good for both sizes its still hard work and takes lots of time it's electricity cost if in uk like me I have 3 lights on and the fan's and filter and smscom and heating all set to perfect temperature and I swoped to leds cos the hps cost to much im paying about £7/£8 a day in electricity around £50/60 a week but I'm in flowering and some got 4/5 weeks left others 7/8 weeks then I got 2 mums in veg tent and 4 new little seeds just potted ready for the next round I love my girls and play them music and just hopefully no hermies this time check out my dairy and message me directly if you need anymore advice be careful on this site lits answer wrong so always research online and don't take first person has true good luck and happy growing

If you put your carbon filter outside of the tent you would have even more room! 2 seeds every 2 weeks would over an average run of 12 weeks equal 12 pots at any one time. (6x2 pots) IMO you would be far better off (and much easier/simpler) to do a run of 6-8 pots every 3 months.

the volatility in time required will make it less predictable, but you would 'average' a harvest every 2 weeks or so, sure. you'd benefit from getting good at recognizing how much time you have left and germinate based on that 2-week guesstimate for best results. this would avoid having more pots than possible in the tent. you get greater economies of scale doing larger runs. dry properly and storage for a year or 2 is really no big deal. 2-way humidity packs help, too. just a thought... a lot more opportunity for inefficiencies to crop up with perpetual grows. easier with autoflowers, though.

if you started 2 seeds every 2weeks on autos you would need a tent that could fit about 12 plants 2 that all ready started. then 2 more seeds every 2 weeks for a total of 12 plants. The problems I can see from this are the following: 1) Not all autos grow the same from seed to seed on the same strain, some may take longer depending on the penotype and genetic variance. sometimes autos go into flower right away because they just feel like it. 2) If one of them runs into issues it could set it back a week or so or if one of them gets pests its now a much bigger issue. Not all plants can be treated with the same products if they are in flower vs veg. 3) Seedlings, veg and flowering plants require different levels of RH and feeding concentrations this will make feeding difficult. 4) Germinating, growing, harvesting and trimming/curing plants every 2 weeks would be hell IMO. 5) plants grow and the space they take up will change dramatically, will be a waste of light if not utilized properly. I feel you would do a lot better doing SOG runs with bulk harvests 2-4 times a year in your tent with a good cleaning in between harvests. Can run two strain a run 5 and 5 and give yourself some variety, I would aim to purchase quality seeds vs cheep though if this is your plan. less problems from shit genetics the better. I'm sure im missing some points but others may fill in the blanks. There is also a process called monster cropping for perpetual harvesting with photoperiods but you need a separate veg and flower tents. Good Luck!

Whoops... had one more thought... my once concern would be lighting... you'd have to have a system of shelving or something so the smallest of plants could be at the right distance from the lights... and not get shaded out by the larger plants....

Theoretically, anything is possible! You'd have to keep excellent notes on each plant so you know what you're doing with her but yeah - I'd go for it if you have the room!

I already water twice a day so it isn't any extra work for me. With 8" pots I can fit up to 10 side by side in 2 rows. I would have different jugs of nutes for each stage. Any advice would be great.
