Week 1 new clones' top leaves are not solid green. See some minor claw.

Already after about 4 days out of the moisture dome, the new top leaves' color doesn't look solid green throughout, and doesn't seem to spread out nicely. I've added some nutrients from Fox Farms with some molasses and mycorrhiza, but no improvement. Anything to worry? 😕

hey there Myketb, so basically what you've done is accidently gone completely soiless but you havent been compensating for ti with nutrients. peat moss is soiless, perlite is soiless so together it's 100% soiless. clones especially are sensitive to cal mag and other micronutrients for example sulfur . Usually when you take clones you want to have a calmagsulfur spray ready, and give nutrients as appropriate. so right now you're seeing all the signs of stress plus the first signs of calmag deficiency. quickly spray them with calmag and dont forget about the soiless moving forward, you should be alright. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@DissNoof, thank you for pointing out an important point for me about the lack of micronutrients from peatmoss/perlite soiless condition for these clones. I kept thinking about them as seedlings from seed germination, which do have sufficient energy from theirs baby leaves. Will foliage spray some calmag.

@Ezzjaybruh, you are correct that the clones were took from a mother that was about to turn sick from nutrient lockout / pH off-balance. 👍 Hopefully they will get better as I have straightened out my pH-water habit. Waiting for the roots to grow a bit more before moving them into a primary growing soil.

I wouldn’t worry massively.. Clones probably weren’t completely healthy when taken. Usually they show signs like this but bounce back if you know what you’re doing.

Thank you. Other than the day that I gave them nutrients, I have been misting the clones' soil with pH 6.5 water. Last week I fed a little (5ml) of Fox Farm nutrients at light dose of pH 6.5 and 450 ppm. Per your comment, I checked the runoff. For both cups, runoff pH is 5.8 and 800 ppm. Surprisingly quite high as it is just peat moss and perlite and I only fed them once. Not sure why runoff's TDS increased so much and pH is so low. So this evening I flushed it with pH 6.5 water and brought runoff's TDS down to about 300 ppm and got the pH to about 6.0.

Looks like she needs more mg and nitrogen. Molasses is to early to be feed, thats something for the flowering stage. I would recommend to repot them and always check your ph you give and the runoff. Runoff PH and EC always tell you whats wrong with them :)
