Hey guys, I have a question about drying. Where I live the temp right now are pretty hot and the only place I can dry in is my grow tent(50x50x160cm)

10 days from harvest.I will dry with a temp of 23/24C and 60/62%Rh. Unfortunately buying an ac unit is out of my budget at the moment. I'm planning to hang my plant whole to maximize the time of drying and compensate the hot temp. Will this allow me to dry my plant in a good way?

He just said he has that temp. If he could drop it that low I'm sure he would. What will lower your temp bro. Is if you seal up your tent, open your windows at the end it'll draw up enough of an air flow, it'll be the temp of your grow room, so however you can cool down your grow room by way of leaving your window in an9ther room open and a window open in your grow room you should be able to keep the temp at room level by doing this. This way you'll be able to use your carbon filter if you need to scrub your air? It all depends. If you domy need to scrub your air then hang it in your tent and just leave your intake fan in your tent with ducting off to circulate your air, as you don't want fans blow directly on your grow. Also you can trim some but leave the bulk of the sugar leafs on your plant, (whole), as it draws sugars in. I've dried 1 plant 3 different ways and the best one was hang dried at 60-65 at 23.5 during the day and around 21c at night. Don't worry to much about hitting 20c. Things like that do help you bud I'm not disagreeing but understanding VPD and how co2 and negative pressure environments all help, but you can get some pretty darn good bud without producing duspernersy grade weed. Good luck bro Feel free 2 DM me if you need details, and I'll help if I can, tat is. 🤔

Hi friend, I've done this in past with good results. I pick a bucket and fill with coal and cat litter. I place it where Im drying the plants. Than I added 2 of those clip fans NOT aiming directly at the plants but inside the closet/tent where I'm drying them. There has to be a way for the air to escape that closet/tent and enter again (like a leaning or slightly open door). For example one fan can point at the door and the other backwards to the door. Check the coal and cat litter bucket for humidity and if needed replace or add more buckets. This should be enough for those parameter you're facing.

Thank you for your answers GrowingGrannie and Northwestlights, unfortunately since my grow tent is placed in my living room and I don’t own an ac unit it will be impossible to lower the temp more than that. Summer is hitting continental Europe hard, global warming is doing its thing I guess, and those temps are what I have to work with. Off course I will place a fan gently blowing towards the wall of the grow tent below the plant to keep away mold and bud rot. I really hope I won’t fuck up my first harvest with those temps. 😢 Do y’all think that placing a frozen water bottle behind the fan will help me lowering the temp a bit? I also thought about buying one of those cheap mini ac unit(budget is 30€)but from what I understand they are not really reliable and they don’t do much even in a small environment like the one I have.

It woud be better if you could drop the temp to 16C but you need to work with what you've got! I would make sure you've got a fan blowing gently in there so you don't develop mold or bud rot but I think your idea of drying the WHOLE plant to slow down the drying time is terrific... Good luck!

Try and drop the temp to 20°c or below and its perfect, you might get a cabbagey smell after a few days at that temp but it will go away at around a week or so and it'll smell better
