I'm on day 80. I observe that trichomes are changing. However, I am not sure about harvesting at the right time because it is my first grow. Genetics 75% indica , please help! (By watering empty, I reduced it to 300-400 ppm.) is this too early?

Primarily I look at the yellow hairs or orange, the ratio will give you a idea of how far along she is, when they are 90% orange its a pretty solid indication she is getting close. Time to check trichomes. Can't see any amber yet so I'd still carry on at least a week or 2, it can help to lower temps a touch as the plant is past point where it requires high light intensities for growth. One wants to focus on preservation of those beautiful juicy trichs. Don't worry, be happy 😊 ☺️ 🙂 😄. Good luck.

It’s hard to say. Assuming this is an auto you’re probably pretty close. But what you’re looking for is some signs of amber trichomes in the bud area, not on the leaf. A sure sign she is close to mature. As well as brown hairs, fading colors in the leaves accompanied by an intense smell.

I see a lot of clear. Some other pics of the whole plant are also good. Its smart to base harvest date on more then just trichomes, like pistils and growth rate as well as trichomes.
