Hello growers. Let's suppose that a plant is in week 9 of flowering, she gets exposed to 24h of light for a couple of days. After how many days will she start producing seeds? 7-14? Thanks.

Just so everybody knows, i'm trying 7 days 24h light, before harvest, just to maximaze trichomes production(instead of the immensily debateble 48h dark), not seed production. I was just wondering if it'll trigger any seed production in the mean time. I don't want no seeds. Check prof. Bruce Bugbee's interview on Mr.growit on YT. Thanks everyone.

you may or may not cause it to her with that sort of stress... and, it's way too late to do it. the receiving female bits will be old and dead by the time it produces some pollen sacs -- which again is not guaranateed. i believe it is called rodelization? stressing plant to make it tun into a hermie. this is the old way of making fem seeds. it's more likely to pass along a hermie trait due compared to blocking homone receptor sites with STS or CS applications. though, any plant you apply that stuff to cannot be smoked or otherwise ingested. the seeds are fine of couse. how long did it take for preflowers/buds to form. 3-4 weeks, give or take? cell growth takes time after the stress is applied. just as long as it normally takes to grow sacs. popping nanners is less useful. those are often impotent or produce very little pollen. they may form faster than a sac, but useless. google "silver thiosulfate sigmund-aldritch" -- that's a proper recipe for STS. it is much more effective than CS, and worth the effort of mixing 2 dry chemicals up as you need it. the dry chems will last decades. a mixed STS solution will last 30days, refrigerated. you want it producing pollen when the buds are still just a bunch of white tufts of hair. it'll take 4-8 weeks for seeds to mature. genetic variation, maybe environment? doesn't matter, just know there is some variation possible.

Chow_13 I'm nearly sure he's not talking about just light changes giving off seeds.

Light will not cause marijuana to seed. Giving more then 12h of light to a photoperiod plant will cause it to go back into vegetative growth. This could cause it to Hermie or start growing banana. Which will take time to mature before pollinating. Which then would take more time to grow seeds. So if the plant was photoperiod and it got stressed out enough to Hermie then I would guess around 15-20 days
