Not much you can do without climate control. it's going to dry faster than normal. As long as it is 3-4 days or more, shouldn't wreck quality too much.
so, leave whole plant intact and hang upside down. higher humidity will slow down drying too, but don't push beyond 60 percent RH.
Before the typical "dry point", you could put it in a sealed container to slow down drying for a period of time each day while also being sure to refresh air and not let it sit in there for too long etc... but, this can have some negative effects. you might grow some microbes while doing this.
So, use your lowest room/basement if clean and hope for the best. otherwise, buy a small AC unit for your smallest room, keep door closed and control that smaller environment.
